Help maintain healthy cholesterol level.
Adults take one soft gel 4 times daily, preferably with meals.
Each soft gelatin capsule contains 10 mg garlic oil (Allium sativum L.).
- Avoid concurrent use of this medicine with aspirin, anticoagulants such as warfarin, antiplatelet drugs, Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as indomethacin, because it may increase risk of bleeding.
- Garlic may lower blood sugar and pressure levels. Caution is advised when medicines or supplements that may also lower blood sugar and pressure are used.
- This medicine may interact with medicines and dietary supplements that are metabolized by the liver’s cytochrome P450 enzyme system.
- Drug interactions have been reported in concomitant use with Ginkgo biloba and saw palmetto.
- Avoid concurrent use of this drug with atazanavir, isoniazid and protease inhibitors.
- Garlic may lower cholesterol levels by a small amount.
- These effects may be larger than expected if taken with other cholesterol-lowering supplements such as fish oil.
Store the drug below 25°C, in dry and cool place.
• If you are taking any medications, planning any medical or surgical procedure or have any medical condition, consult your doctor before use.
• This medicine is contraindicated in patients with bleeding disorders.
• Use with caution in individuals with diabetes, hypotension, infectious or inflammatory gastrointestinal conditions.
• Discontinue the use at least 2 weeks before elective surgical procedures.
• Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients.
• Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Side effects:
- In some cases, this medicine may cause allergic reactions, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, flatulence, heartburn, headache, fatigue, dizziness, tachycardia, weight loss, insomnia, feeling of fullness, excessive sweating, malodorous breath and body odor.
